Got a problem?
Pick a tab. Most things on a Buffalo you can fix yourself in a few minutes — and when you can't, we'll point you straight to an expert.
Your Buffalo will last for years if you do a few simple things regularly
You don't need to be an expert. Most of this takes under 10 minutes and the only things you need are a cloth, a pump, and some chain oil. When something needs an expert, we'll say so clearly.
Quick reference
What do to and when
Every week
Check tyre pressure
Squeeze both brakes
Every 200km
Oil the chain
Both chains on S2
Monthly
Check brake adjustment
Check kickstand
Check saddle height
Once a year
Full service by an expert
Replace chains if worn
Oil the chain
The single most important thing. A dry chain wears out fast and causes other problems.
Every 200km
Check your tyre pressure
Soft tyres under a loaded bike cause punctures and rim damage. Takes 2 minutes.
Every week
Check your brakes
A quick squeeze tells you everything. Do this before any long or loaded ride.
Every week
Set your saddle to the right height
Right height = less effort, less strain. Wrong height makes every ride harder.
Monthly
Check the kickstand
A failing kickstand on a loaded bike is a safety risk. Takes 30 seconds.
